11 Student-Athletes Selected for CSC Academic All-District At-Large Teams

Saints Honored for Academic and Athletic Success

LOUDONVILLE, NY – The 2025 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom, on Tuesday.
 
The Siena Women's and Men's Lacrosse teams, Men's and Women's Golf teams, and Water Polo team were honored with 11 selections with the maximum of six women occupying slots and additionally five men were chosen to make up the teams.  Nominees must have met certain qualifications in order to be considered.  Student-athletes must have been at least in their sophomore academic year, maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and had competed in 90 percent of team events throughout the season or had started in at least 66 percent of contests. 
 
At-large sports included women's beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, and field hockey.  Co-ed sports included fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.  Men's volleyball and wrestling were also eligible.  A total of six men and six women were the maximum allowed number of spots for each institution. 
 
Among the selections on the CSC All-District At-Large Women's Team included women's golf senior Jillian Barend, women's lacrosse seniors Mikayla Cooke, Grace Dobrzynski and Kelly Logue, women's lacrosse sophomore Olivia Nicholson, and water polo sophomore Catherine Williamson
 
Additionally, Dobrzynski was selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 9. 
 
As a member of the MAAC All-Academic Team, Barend posted a 3.79 overall GPA and graduated with a degree in Psychology. The North Attleboro, MA native enjoyed First Team All-MAAC acclaim this season, as well as MAAC Golfer of the Week honors on Mar. 12. Barend also earned a share of the individual title at the SHU Spring Break Invitational on Mar. 6, shooting +10 over the 36-hole tournament. 
 
Cooke earned a degree in Psychology with a 3.87 cumulative GPA. A member of the MAAC All-Academic Team this past season, the Fredon, NJ native was also named Second Team All-MAAC on defense. Playing and starting in all 18 games, Cooke notched career-highs with 33 ground balls, 23 caused turnovers, and 37 draw controls. 
 
Dobrzynski graduated with a degree in Biology with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The West Greenwich, RI product made program history on the field this season, ending her storied career with 256 points. Dobrzynski was named First Team All-MAAC on attack, and earned MAAC All-Championship Team acclaim for her postseason play, while her work in the community made her a nominee for the Allstate National Association of College Directors of Athletics Good Works Team. She was also the recipient of 2024-25 Siena Female Student Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season. 
 
Logue carried a 3.88 GPA cumulative GPA, and earned a degree in Psychology while boasting MAAC All-Academic Team honors this past year. On the field, the standout from Rocky Point, NY ranked second on the Saints with 32 goals - the third straight season in which she eclipsed 30 - while her work in the postseason led to MAAC All-Championship Team accolades. 
 
Nicholson boasts a 3.93 cumulative GPA as a Finance major, and was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for her work in the classroom. The Wantagh, NY native led Siena with a career-high 33 goals this past season, while also posting a career-high 35 points over 18 games. 
 
Williamson - a 4.0 student as a Marketing major - nearly set the program single-season goals record, netting 92 over 26 outings this past season. A First Team All-MAAC honoree and one-time MAAC Offensive Player of the Week this past season, the sophomore from Grahamstown, South Africa also picked up MAAC All-Academic Team accolades. 
 
On the CSC At-Large All-District Men's Team, men's lacrosse graduate student Will Edell, men's golf senior Nick Lyons, men's lacrosse junior R.J. Ihlefeld, and sophomores Michael McConie (men's golf) and Patrick Radomski (men's lacrosse). 
 
Edell earned his master's in accounting with a 3.78 GPA, and captured MAAC All-Academic Team accolades this past season. A native of Castle Pines, CO, Edell set new career-highs this season with 11 points, seven ground balls, six assists, and five goals. 
 
Ihlefeld capped off his junior season with a 3.57 GPA as a Finance major, and earned MAAC All-Academic Team honors. A Second Team All-MAAC honoree, the Fairfield, CT native ranked second on the team with a career-high 59 ground balls, while his career-high 20 caused turnovers topped the Saints.  
 
A local product out of Loudonville, NY, Lyons earned a degree in Economics while graduating with a 3.67 cumulative GPA. Serving as a cornerstone in the Saints' lineup this past season, Lyons posted a 77.4 scoring average over 24 total rounds while playing into one top-three finish. His work in the classroom also led to MAAC All-Academic Team honors. 
 
A Second Team All-MAAC honoree, the sophomore McConie holds a 3.62 cumulative GPA as a Finance major. His play on the links led to Second Team All-MAAC acclaim this past season, while the Huntington, NY product also captured MAAC All-Academic Team recognition for his work in the classroom. Over 26 rounds, McConie held a 75.5 scoring average, and posted a pair of top-three finishes. 
 
Radomski completed his sophomore year as an Accounting major with a 3.76 cumulative GPA. The Massapequa, NY native secured First Team All-MAAC acclaim after setting career-highs with 47 points, 32 goals, and 15 assists for the MAAC champion Saints. Radomski also boasted MAAC All-Academic Team honors for his work in the classroom.
