Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

Fleet-footed Saints look to build off strong ’24 campaign

LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Cross Country men and women's teams have been a fixture toward the top of the MAAC Championship standings for the better part of the last decade.

With both Saints' programs finishing in the top four in each of the past seven seasons, they'll look to continue to build off their recent string of strong campaigns and keep championship aspirations in mind as they enter the 2025 season.

"We are really excited to be back on campus and start working together," said Siena head coach Elizabeth DeBole, who will be entering her third season at the helm of the Saints' running programs and her second year overseeing the cross-country season.

"Both the men's and women's teams are in a great spot coming off a long summer of training and everyone is eager to have training partners again. Our men's team is set up to be very competitive in the conference and beyond. We return a lot of leadership from years past and the team is hungry. Our women's team is young and looking forward to spreading their wings. We have great captains who have gained the trust of the underclassmen over the years and it will be a very exciting year for us! Our goal is always to be top of the conference and we have the mentality of winning a championship this year."

The opener is slated for August 30 when the Saints head down I-87 to compete in the Marist Season Opener for a fifth consecutive season at Vassar Farm in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Siena will take part in the Jasper Invitational for a third consecutive season on Sept. 13 at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, NY.

The Siena Men finished as runners up last season in this event while the women placed third.

When the calendar turns to October, Siena will travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to test themselves in the 51st Paul Short Run on the Lehigh University Goodman Campus Cross Country Course on Oct. 3.

Last year's Gold and Brown Races for NCAA Division I teams from across the country featured over 500 runners in the men's 8K and nearly 300 in the women's 6K.

The ECAC / IC4A Cross Country Championships will take place on Oct. 17 at storied Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY.

The month wraps with a final warm up in the Central Connecticut Mini Meet in New Britain, Connecticut on Oct. 24.

Leading into November, Siena will visit familiar Montgomery, New York at Twin Ponds on the Farm for the MAAC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1.

The men finished third while the women placed fourth last season.

Select team and individual qualifiers will advance to the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships in Hopkinton, New Hampshire on Nov. 14.
