LOUDONVILLE, NY – A new season brings many new faces to the Siena Women's Lacrosse roster. Saints third-year head coach
Danielle Schwan-Tetreault has announced 10 student athletes in the latest signing class with eight freshmen and a pair of underclassmen transfers added to the fold for the upcoming 2026 campaign.
Among them are midfielders Caroline Austin, Angie Efstathiou, Hailey Deptula, Kaitlin Bogucki, attackers Gabriella Deer, Angelina Kenney, Cassidy Morrow and Sara Curley, goalkeeper Jenna Amodio, and defender Emily Rutledge.
"We are excited to welcome ten newcomers to our roster this year," said Schwan-Tetreault, whose teams have reached the MAAC Semifinals each of her first seasons at the helm.
"They are eager to embrace their roles here at Siena and we cannot wait to see the versatility they bring to this team."
Rutledge, a redshirt freshman, is a transfer from the University of South Florida.
The Sykesville, MD native was a 2023 Second Team All-County selection and member of the 2022 Class 2A state championship teams for both lacrosse and soccer at Century High School in Maryland.
Curley, a redshirt sophomore, comes to Loudonville after spending two seasons at Monmouth.
The Lynbrook, NY native appeared in 16 games last season with the Hawks and registered eight goals and 10 assists including a season-high two-goal effort versus Bryant on Feb. 15. Curley took a redshirt in her freshman campaign.
While at Lynbrook High School, Curley amassed over 200 career points and was named one of Newsday's Top 100 Lacrosse Players on Long Island in 2023.
Austin is a local product around the corner at Shaker High School and a native of Latham, NY. Selected to play in the Section 2 Girls All-Star Game in 2025, Austin was a three-year varsity starter with the Bison.
Efstathiou was a four-year varsity starter at Miller Place High School in Miller Place, NY. The multiple-time award winner was named an Academic Athletic Scholarship award winner, a varsity lacrosse Matt Loigro award winner, and an All-County award winner among others.
Deptula was a four-year varsity starter as a midfielder at South Windsor High School in Connecticut.
Bogucki comes to the Saints after being a four-year varsity starter with Columbia High School in East Greenbush, NY.
The 2025 USA Lacrosse All-Academic member was a Times-Union All-Star First Team selection and Suburban Council First Team selection as well.
She is the school record holder for career points and goals at Columbia.
The crop of attackers includes Morrow, who was an All-County selection, Academic All-American, White Letter Award winner, MVP and team captain at Massapequa High School.
Deer hails from Westfield, IN and was a four-year varsity letter winner and three-year starter at Guerin Catholic High School.
Playing as both a midfielder and attacker, Deer was a USA All-American, First Team All-State selection and two-time All-Area selection.
Kenney, a Yardley, PA native, was a four-year starter at Pennsbury High School. She was a two-time All-League selection Honorable Mention, an All-League Second Team pick as well as a 3D Player award winner.
Joining the goalkeepers' unit will be Amodio, a product of nearby Ballston Spa, NY and graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. Amodio was a four-year letterwinner and earned the Blasé Iluiano Most Distinguished Athlete award.
