LOUDONVILLE, NY – The votes are in and the Siena Women's Lacrosse team has decided to make junior
Olivia Nicholson and senior
Emily Danahy the 2026 captains of the Siena Women's Lacrosse team.
"Olivia and Emily embody what it means to be a Saint, are committed and passionate about the program and are ready to lead this team toward our goals this Spring," said third-year Siena head Women's Lacrosse coach

Nicholson took a step forward last season by becoming a full-time starter, the team's leading goal scorer with 33 and also notched the winning goals at Sacred Heart on April 5, 2025 as well as on the road versus Merrimack on April 16, 2025.
The Wantagh, NY native excelled in the classroom as well, earning distinction as a MAAC All-Academic Team member as well as being a CSC Academic All-District At-Large selection.
Danahy is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team member and three-time MAAC Honor Roll member and previously was a captain of both her varsity lacrosse and basketball teams at Academy of the Holy Angels in Oradell, NJ.
The senior also earned IWLCA Academic Honors for those with a cumulative GPA or 3.5 or higher.
Siena will open its season on Friday, February 6 hosting Hofstra at 2 p.m.
