ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Siena Women's Basketball was picked as a top-five team in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for the third consecutive season as the Saints were tabbed fifth in the 2025 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as voted on by the league's 13 head coaches. The announcement was made at the MAAC Basketball Tipoff held at the Ocean Casino Resort.
Defending MAAC Champion Fairfield was voted as unanimous favorites, garnering all 13 first place votes for 169 points. Following was 2024-25 MAAC runner-up Quinnipiac with 155 points, Mount St. Mary's with 132, Marist with 128, and Siena rounding out the top-five with 103.
Iona was picked sixth three points behind Siena with 100, with Manhattan (95), Merrimack (76), Canisius (69), and Saint Peter's (51) completing the top-10. Niagara (48), Sacred Heart (43), and Rider (14) rounded out the Poll.
Fairfield's Meghan Anderson was selected as unanimous MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, and was one of three Stags featured on the Preseason All-MAAC First Team.
The second year of the
Terry Primm era begins with a home exhibition at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before kicking off the regular season against Colgate at the UHY Center at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Primm welcomes 11 new players to Loudonville looking to help bring the Saints back to MAAC Championship contention.

Siena Women's Basketball season tickets are on-sale now, with packages beginning at just $168 for adult reserved chairback seating ($70 for children), excluding taxes and fees. New for this season is the debut of the Siena Women's Basketball Premium Seating Program, featuring premium courtside seating for just $275 for the season. A total of $50 from each premium seat purchase will be directed to the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund, which supports Siena University's more than 350 student athletes while helping to further the mission of "Building Better Saints."
