LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena University has named Mollie McFerran as Administrative Assistant for the Saints Athletics program.

"As the first person that people meet when they walk into our department, this role is vital to keeping Siena Athletics running smoothly and setting a welcoming tone for our student athletes and community. Mollie brings an impressive academic background and a fantastic work ethic. We are confident she will be a valuable asset to our team and accomplish great things here."

Previously, McFerran served as a business operations intern for the Institute of Athlete Well-Being & Athletic Leadership, assisting with strategic planning initiatives, ensuring alignment between research, messaging and organizational goals.

Additional duties included creating and maintaining the web page and marketing materials as organizational needs shifted. 

Duties and responsibilities for the Siena Administrative Assistant position entails assisting with the department's athletic insurance program, providing support to the athletic business operations office, assisting with event planning, overseeing the front office and reception area and providing administrative support to the VP/Director of Athletics. 

Prior to that position, McFerran was a host and waitress for the Four Corners Luncheonette in Delmar and served support staff for the NYSPHSAA State Football Championship in Syracuse and was a game administration intern for the Syracuse University Athletics program.

McFerran earned a Master's of Science in Sports Management at SUNY Cortland, where she also competed as a club soccer student athlete and held a 4.0 GPA, earning a spot on the Dean's List.

Prior to that, she earned a B.A. in Global Studies at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore where she was also on the Dean's List.

Additionally, she holds certification in the mastery of NIL Concepts through CleanKonnect NIL, NIL Athlete Marketing Essentials through Front Office Sports and HubSpot Inbound, AI for Marketers and Search Engine Optimization.
