LOUDONVILLE, NY — In partnership with Albany Med Health System, Siena Women's Basketball will host its 25th annual
Pink Zone game, presented by KeyBank, on Thursday, Jan. 29, when the Saints welcome Niagara for a 6 p.m. tipoff at the UHY Center. Proceeds from the game will benefit Real Kids Wear Pink, and since the event's inception, the Pink Zone initiative has raised more than $200,000 in support of local Capital Region breast cancer survivors.
"Real Kids Wear Pink represents the power of young people coming together to create change," said
Lynne Young, General Manager of Corporate Partnerships for Siena Athletics. "Supporting a local group that is actively raising awareness and funds for breast cancer in our Capital Region aligns perfectly with the heart of our Pink Zone game."
As part of the evening, breast cancer survivors and thrivers will be recognized in person prior to tipoff, continuing a meaningful Siena Women's Basketball tradition that has endured for more than two decades. Tickets for the 2026 Pink Zone Game are available now at SienaSaints.com/wbbtickets, and fans are encouraged to wear pink—breast cancer's signature color—to help "Pink Out the UHY."
Donations benefiting Real Kids Wear Pink will be collected throughout the game. Pink T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20 (cash or Venmo), with all proceeds supporting the organization on behalf of KeyBank. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle and additional raffle prizes, all contributing to the cause.
Founded more than 20 years ago by former head coach Gina Castelli and the late Siena College biology professor Dr. Pat Brown, the Pink Zone Game has grown into an annual celebration honoring the courage of local breast cancer survivors while raising critical awareness and funds for organizations that provide essential support services.
Real Kids Wear Pink is a youth-focused initiative of the American Cancer Society that empowers students and young people to take an active role in the fight against breast cancer. Through wearing pink, raising awareness, and participating in fundraising efforts, schools and communities across the region help support lifesaving research, patient services, and education programs.
