LOUDONVILLE, NY — Siena Women's Basketball will celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Saturday, Feb. 7, as the Saints host Manhattan for a 2 p.m. tipoff at the UHY Center.
Prior to the game, Siena will host a free NGWSD pregame event from 12–1:30 p.m. on the Callanan Field House first court, inviting young girls and families to celebrate participation, leadership, and the impact of women in sports. Attendees are encouraged to stay for the women's basketball game immediately following the event, for which tickets can be purchased following the corresponding link.
The pregame celebration will feature a variety of interactive activities, including tie-dye, bracelet making, face painting, craft stations, opportunities to play small-sided games with Siena women's teams, and an autograph session with the Siena Women's Basketball team following the game.
NGWSD is observed nationwide to honor the achievements of girls and women in sport and to inspire the next generation to participate and lead. Siena's celebration reinforces the department's commitment to empowering young athletes and providing positive role models across its women's programs.
Fans are invited to make a full day of it by participating in the NGWSD festivities and cheering on the Saints as they take on Manhattan at 2 p.m.
