LOUDONVILLE, NY — Members of both Siena basketball programs continued a long-standing tradition of community engagement Tuesday morning by visiting local schools.
Â
Student-athletes and coaches from Siena Men's and Women's Basketball participated in visits with several Capital Region schools on Monday as part of Siena Athletics'
Transfinder Adopt-A-School program, reinforcing the department's ongoing commitment to community involvement.
Â
The Saints traveled throughout the Capital Region to visit elementary and middle school students at North Albany Middle School, Albany School of Humanities, and Roots Academy at West Hill.
Â
The visits coincided with Siena Women's Basketball's annual Kids Day game, scheduled for Thursday, January 8, at 11 a.m. against Rider. All three schools visited Tuesday will be in attendance, along with six additional Capital Region schools.
Â
During the visits, players and coaches from both programs introduced themselves and answered questions from students and teachers on a wide range of topics, including life as a student-athlete, balancing academics and athletics, and their favorite activities. Students also took part in basketball drills and activities led by Siena players.
