Second Half Serves Up Program-Record 12 Home Dates

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Tennis head coach Alex Van Cott officially unveiled the 2026 spring schedule with 19 dual matches on tap including a return to the courts after the mid-winter break on Saturday, January 24 when the Saints open up at home against LIU.

The Saints will host a program-record 12 matches at home this season.

Second-year head coach Van Cott will look to build upon his team's MAAC Semifinals appearance last year for the Saints, who finished 8-11 overall and 5-3 in conference play. The fifth-seeded Saints topped fourth-seeded Rider 4-1 to extend their streak to 10 straight appearances in the MAAC Semifinals.

The roster has two seniors in Madeline De Faber-Schumacher and Reegan Mullaney as well as juniors Manuela Gomez, Zaara Omar, Andrea Vargas and freshman Selma Bellaouchi

Siena will play eight teams who had a record above .500 last season including matches against NCAA Tournament qualifiers Bryant of the Ohio Valley Conference and MAAC champion Quinnipiac.  The Saints will also play conference runners up St. Francis (PA) of the NEC as well as 15-match winner Rhode Island of the Atlantic-10 and a trio of 12-match winners in Colgate of the Patriot League, UMass of the Atlantic-10 and Quinnipiac.

The Saints will play at UMass on Jan. 25 then will return home for a six-match home stand starting with Providence of the Big East Conference on Feb. 1 followed by St. Bonaventure on Feb. 8, Colgate on Feb. 14, Holy Cross of the Patriot League on Feb. 15, Le Moyne of the NEC on Feb. 21 and Binghamton, also of the NEC, on Feb. 22.

A six-match road swing will ensue beginning with a visit to the state of Rhode Island to play at Bryant on Feb. 28 and URI on March 1. MAAC play starts with a visit to Western New York at Niagara on March 7 followed by trip to Sacred Heart on March 14 and Merrimack on March 22 and Fairfield on March 27.

The final five matches are scheduled at home with a MAAC Semifinals rematch against Quinnipiac on March 29, a visit from Marist on April 6, a match against Rider on April 10, St. Francis (PA) on April 12 and a regular season finale hosting Mount St. Mary's (MD) on April 18.

The MAAC Tournament will once again be held at Mercer County Park Tennis Center outside of Princeton, New Jersey in West Windsor from Saturday, April 25 through Sunday, April 26.  The top four seeds will qualify for the single elimination tournament.
