Landon Moran drove in five and capped a five-run fourth inning with a grand slam as Central Florida defeated Siena Baseball 16-0 in seven innings in the season-opener in Orlando.
UCF scored in each of their final five innings at bat, punctuated by five runs apiece in both the fourth and fifth innings. DeAmez Ross set the table atop the order with three hits and three runs scored for the Knights who made the most of their nine hits, and capitalized on 14 walks and four errors. Nine of the 16 UCF runs were unearned.

Jake Sparks paced the Saints offensively with a pair of hits. Siena managed just five singles and one walk against Braden Smith and Kaniel Rosado. Smith went the first six innings to earn the win.
The Saints will look to bounce back in the middle contest of the three-game season-opening weekend series Saturday at 1 p.m.
