Kaiya Rain Tucker recorded the second double-double of her career Thursday night, pulling down a career-high 16 rebounds. It marked her fourth game with double-digit boards this season—and her third in the last four contests, during which she's averaging 11.8 rebounds per game.
Caydence Hadley also continues her strong stretch, tallying her seventh double-digit scoring performance of the season. She has reached the 10-point mark in four of her last six games, averaging 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds over that span.
The Warriors enter Saturday riding a three-game winning streak, including a 77-72 overtime comeback victory at Marist on Thursday. At 14-10 overall and 11-4 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play, Merrimack sits third in the standings and has also secured a MAAC Championships berth. Merrimack is led by two-time MAAC Player of the Week Madison Roman (12.3 PPG, 10.7 RPG) and one-time honoree Lydia Melaschenko (12.1 PPG). The Warriors feature four players averaging double figures and rank third in the MAAC in scoring offense at 68.5 points per game.
Saturday marks just the fifth all-time meeting between the programs, with Merrimack holding a 3-1 advantage. The Saints have hosted three previous matchups, along with one neutral-site contest in last year's MAAC Championships. Earlier this season, the Warriors earned an 82-65 win on Jan. 10, a game in which
Nicole Melious led Siena with 19 points.
Siena returns to Loudonville next week to host Iona at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19.
