LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Basketball hits the road for the final time this regular season, traveling to Lawrenceville, NJ, on Thursday, Feb. 26, for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Rider Broncs.
Jon Mozes and Tom Hill will have the call on ESPN+, while Joe Puccio and Steve Amedio will provide the local radio broadcast on WVCR 88.3 FM. Fans can access tickets, live stats, and courtside X updates via the corresponding links.
The Saints enter Thursday in a three-way tie for sixth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) standings at 9-9 in league play, alongside Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers and Manhattan Jaspers. Siena holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over both teams, having defeated the Mount 69-59 on Jan. 1 and Manhattan 91-72 on Feb. 8.
With two games remaining, postseason positioning remains fluid. Siena, Mount St. Mary's, and Manhattan are joined by Iona Gaels (11-8), Sacred Heart Pioneers (10-8), and Marist Red Foxes (7-11) in the race for a top-six seed in the MAAC Championships. Securing a top-six finish would allow teams to avoid the MAAC First Round games on Thursday, Mar. 5.
Rider enters the contest having won two of its last three games and remains in contention for a MAAC Championship berth. The Broncs currently sit 11th in the league at 5-13 (7-20 overall). Led by one-time MAAC Player of the Week Kristina Ekofo's 11.0 points per game, Rider ranks 11th in the MAAC in scoring offense (53.3 PPG) and fifth in scoring defense, allowing 62.2 points per contest.
Thursday marks the 60th all-time meeting between the programs, with Siena holding a commanding 41-18 advantage. The Saints' .695 winning percentage against Rider is their highest against any MAAC opponent. Siena has also won each of its last three trips to Lawrenceville, with its most recent loss on the Broncs' home floor coming on Jan. 18, 2020. Rider took the first meeting this season, edging the Saints 61-59 on Jan. 8.
Following Thursday's contest, Siena will return home to close out the regular season against I-87 rival Marist at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
