HANOVER, N.H. — Siena fell to Dartmouth 13-6 in Saturday's non-conference game at Scully-Fahey Field.
Siena, now 3-2, managed 39 shots with a power-play goal, while Dartmouth improved to 3-1, bolstered by its 28 shots on goal.
The game opened with Siena's
Travis Fry scoring the first goal at 13:09, giving the Siena an early lead. Dartmouth responded with a scoring run, beginning with a goal by Stu Gates at 8:33, followed quickly by Spencer Reagan's goal just seven seconds later, and Tyler Juhlin adding another at 7:35, putting Dartmouth ahead 3-1. Dartmouth extended its lead to 4-1 with a goal by Nick Moore at 4:38, assisted by Gates. The Saints narrowed the gap when
Riley Hegarty scored at 4:16. With just 38 seconds remaining,
Patrick Radomski scored for Siena, assisted by Fry, pulling them within one. However, Dartmouth's Stu Gates scored again with six seconds on the clock, assisted by Alex Jessey, ending the first quarter with Dartmouth leading 5-3.
Patrick Radomski scored twice for Siena in the second quarter, first with an assist from
Michael Felicetti at 9:57, and then on a man-up opportunity with a pass from
Caden Olmstead at 6:42. Dartmouth responded with four consecutive goals, starting with Alex Jessey's goal assisted by Quinn Stankovits at 3:08. Zach Bye added two goals for Dartmouth, including the last at 0:37, giving them a 9-5 lead by the end of the quarter. Despite several attempts, Siena struggled to clear the ball effectively and faced multiple turnovers, which Dartmouth capitalized on to take the lead.
During the third quarter, Dartmouth extended its lead with two quick goals, starting with Gates scoring at 12:40. Reagan followed just six seconds later to put Dartmouth further ahead. The Saints responded with a goal by
Patrick Linton at the 10:00 mark, narrowing the gap slightly. Despite multiple shot attempts, including those by Olmstead and
Gavin Blenk, Siena struggled to capitalize further, while Dartmouth maintained control with successful clears and defensive plays.
Dartmouth extended its lead in the fourth quarter with two goals, securing a 13-6 victory. Tyler Juhlin scored the first goal of the quarter at 13:14, followed by Thomas Power's goal at 11:33, assisted by Alex Jessey. Despite several shot attempts by Siena, including efforts from Radomski and
Hans Hoerschelmann, Dartmouth's defense held firm, with Max Becker making key saves. Siena struggled with turnovers and failed clears, hindering its ability to close the gap.

Vito DeBellis made a career-high 15 saves with six ground balls to lead Siena.
