LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Swimming & Diving swept the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference weekly awards on Wednesday, as freshman
Clara Samko earned MAAC Swimmer and Rookie of the Week honors, while
Claire Donlon was named MAAC Diver of the Week.
Samko collected her second MAAC Rookie of the Week award of the season and was named Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career. Donlon earned the second MAAC Diver of the Week honor of her career and her first since Nov. 20, 2024.
Donlon dominated the diving board in Siena's dual meet against Saint Peter's, winning both the three-meter and one-meter events. She scored 273.23 points on the three-meter board and 248.55 points on the one-meter board.
Samko posted a pair of victories in the pool, taking first in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 26.13 and the 50-yard freestyle in 25.01. She also helped the 200-yard medley relay team to a first-place finish in 1:50.05.
The Saints now turn their attention to the MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships, scheduled for Feb. 11–14 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
