Marist plated all 11 of its runs over the first three innings to take the series-opener from Siena Baseball 11-0 in Wappingers Falls.
Marist (8-16, 8-2) scored a pair of runs apiece in both the first and second innings, before breaking things open with a decisive seven-run third. The Red Foxes recorded seven hits in the frame, while also making the most of a costly error which led to the final five runs of the inning all being unearned. Both Marist second-inning runs were unearned as well.
Nathan Lincoln paced a 12-hit Red Foxes attack with three hits and four RBI, while Connor Lawrence scored three times.
Sam Falace was a bright spot out of the bullpen for Siena (7-15, 3-7), tossing the final five scoreless innings while recording six strikeouts.
The Saints registered five hits and two walks against three Marist hurlers in falling for the seventh time in eight games. Will Taylor went six strong to earn the win for the Red Foxes.
