Saints Place Seven Finishers on Podium at Jaylin Rainford Invitational

Greene, men’s and women’s 4x800 relay teams hold highest finishes with second-place performances

The Siena Saints uncorked their 2026 outdoor track season with seven finishers inside the top-three at the Jaylin Rainford Invitational at Bryant University's Track and Turf Complex in Smithfield, RI on Friday. 

Top finishers for the Saints included a second-place finish by Tyler Greene as well as a third-place finish by Luke Tkaczyk in the men's 5K, and the men's and women's 4x800 relay teams both finishing in second place.

Third-place finishers included Jackson Cayward (men's 1,500-meter), Evan Wattie (men's 3,000-meter), and Olivia Armenia's (women's 5K event). 

Greene, a native of Scotia, NY, set a personal best in the 5,000 with a time of 14:39.51. Tkaczyk, also a senior, also finished with a personal-best time of 14:44.97 while freshman Austin Ferrin followed with a time of 14:53.71 for a PR and a fourth-place finish. 

The men's 4x800 relay team that comprised of Ralston Frattarola, Colin Clinton, Connor Thomas and Michael Ryan closed in 8:11.59.

The women's 4x800 relay team of Mattingly O'Rourke, Cameron Sisk, Sara Fitzgerald and Katie Hayes crossed the line in 9:55.65.

Cayward clocked in at 3:58.67 in the 1,500-meter for a third-place spot.  Jake Passalugo had a personal-best 4:03.85 in the same event to take ninth. 

Wattie also set a new best time for himself in the 3,000-meter with a time of 9:38.99. 

Armenia clocked in at 19:33.14 for third in the women's 5,000-meter.  Marissa Navarra had a PR with a time of 19:38.51 in the same event for a sixth-place finish. 

The women's 4x800 relay team of Julianna Tourangeau, Avery Kozerski, Brooke Gabriel and Maris Potter finished in 10:03.57 for a fourth-place finish. 

O'Rourke placed sixth in the women's 1,500-meter in 4:42.90. 

Despite limited sized rosters, Siena finished in eighth place with 45 points while the Siena Women scored 18 points and finished in 11th place.

Next, Siena will compete in the RPI Friday Night Under the Lights meet in Troy, NY at Harkness Field on Friday, April 10 as well as the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, PA on Saturday, April 11 through Sunday, April 12.
