Marist scored 13 unanswered runs punctuated by a nine-run fifth inning to complete the series sweep of Siena Baseball 13-6 in Wappingers Falls.
 
Marist (10-16, 10-2) scored all 13 of its runs after the first two batters were retired to begin the home half of the fifth with Siena (7-17, 3-9) leading 6-0. Nine consecutive Red Foxes proceeded to reach base safely in the decisive frame, with AJ Brotz (bases-clearing three-run double) and Brady Steinert (three-run home run) providing the big blows.
 
The Saints had built a seemingly comfortable 6-0 advantage at the midway point following a two-run fourth followed by a four-run fifth. But Siena managed just two baserunners thereafter as three Marist relievers combined to allow just one hit and one walk over the final 4.2 innings.
 
Brotz drove in a game-high five runs out of the No. 9 spot in the lineup for the Red Foxes which totaled 15 hits.
 
Matt Thorsen paced the Saints with three hits, while Sean Camacho had a two-run double during the four-run fifth. Gavin Thorburn also drove in a pair of runs.
 
Siena will look to bounce back with a four-game home week on the horizon, beginning with a midweek matchup vs. defending Northeast Conference Regular Season Champion LIU Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Loudonville.
