LATHAM, NY – The Siena Women's Tennis team rallied back for a come-from-behind 4-3 victory against conference opponent Rider on Friday at Tri-City Fitness.
The Saints upped their records to 9-8 overall and 2-5 in MAAC play after a strong singles performance delivered them their four wins to secure the match.
Manuela Gomez and
Reegan Mullaney each went the distance of three sets to provide a flair for the dramatic.
Gomez dropped the opening set against Jolie Kaiser before winning 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 position while Mullaney lost the middle set before ultimately winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 over Elle Catanzarite at the No. 6 spot.
Rider fell to 3-15 overall and 1-4 in the MAAC.
Junior
Zaara Omar and senior Madeline De-Faber Schumacher each earned straight sets wins at the No. 3 and No. 5 positions.
