LOUDONVILLE, NY – Nick Bergamotto and Siena Baseball are heating up at just the right time. Bergamotto added three more hits and knocked in four runs to propel the Saints to their sixth win in seven games with a 7-4 midweek victory over Massachusetts at Connors Park.
 
Siena (16-24) scored five unanswered over the fifth and sixth innings to reclaim a 6-2 lead they would not relinquish. Bergamotto knocked in what proved to be the go-ahead run in the fifth, before capping a three-run sixth with an RBI single. Over his past five games, Bergamotto is swinging a sweltering 13-25 (.520).
 
Cannon Vandever and Sean Camacho added a pair of hits apiece for the Saints from the eight and nine spots in the order. Camacho scored three times for Siena which took three of four this season from UMass (14-23). The Saints prevailed in a neutral-site series to close February and open March in Maryland.
 
The Minutemen worked 13 walks but mustered just two singles off three Siena pitchers. UMass stranded nine runners.
 
The Saints continue a busy five-game week Wednesday with a 3 p.m. first pitch at Princeton.
