Siena Athletics Adds Brianna Dorr and Molly Bevan as New Assistant Athletic Trainers

Dorr and Bevan join Saints’ sports medicine staff after gaining valuable experience across Division I athletics

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena University Athletics has announced the addition of Brianna Dorr and Molly Bevan as new assistant athletic trainers, strengthening the Saints' sports medicine staff under the leadership of Head Athletic Trainer Rebecca Sanger.

"I am excited to welcome both Molly and Brianna to the Sports Medicine staff," said Director of Student Athlete Performance/Head Athletic Trainer Rebecca Sanger. "They both are passionate and have the drive to further build upon the foundation we have set here at Siena Athletics. The health and safety of our student athletes is our number one priority, and I believe Molly and Brianna will add to our current staff to maintain that standard."

Dorr joins Siena following the completion of her Master of Athletic Training degree at Southern Connecticut State University, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA while earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees in athletic training. She graduated magna cum laude with her bachelor's degree in 2024 before completing her master's degree in 2026.

During her clinical experience, Dorr gained extensive Division I exposure while working with Fairfield University's women's basketball program, assisting with daily care, injury evaluations, rehabilitation, and traveling with the team throughout the season, including the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. She also worked with Post University's men's lacrosse and women's soccer programs, Albertus Magnus College's athletics programs, and East Haven High School, where she provided care for multiple sports while assisting with rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols.

"Siena University stands out to me because of its collaborative commitment to investing in the academic, athletic, and personal success of its student-athletes," said Dorr. "I am very excited to join the Sports Medicine team and contribute to the community by providing care to the Siena Saints!"

A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Dorr also brings experience as a gymnastics coach, helping athletes develop strength, technique, and performance skills. She was a Division II women's gymnastics student-athlete at Southern Connecticut State University from 2021-25 and earned multiple academic and professional honors, including the Lloyd Barrow Award and athletic training scholarships recognizing academic and clinical excellence.

Bevan comes to Siena after completing her Master of Athletic Training degree at Marquette University, where she also earned her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology.

Bevan brings significant Division I athletic training experience, most recently working with Marquette's men's basketball and men's golf programs. In that role, she performed injury evaluations, developed treatment plans, assisted with rehabilitation, managed gameday operations, documented treatments, and collaborated with medical professionals, coaches, and support staff.

"Siena stood out to me because of its commitment to caring for the whole student-athlete and helping them grow both on and off the court and field," said Bevan. "I am excited for the opportunity to make a positive impact not only within the sports medicine department but also in the lives of the student-athletes, coaches, and staff as part of the Siena community."

Her clinical background also includes experiences with Marquette men's lacrosse and women's soccer, where she assisted with evaluations, taping, rehabilitation, injury documentation, and daily athletic training operations. Additionally, she gained exposure in an orthopedic clinical setting at Froedtert Drexel Clinic, assisting with patient care and observing orthopedic procedures.

Beyond athletic training, Bevan has demonstrated leadership through her involvement with Marquette's Women's Club Lacrosse program, where she served as team president while also coaching lacrosse and working with youth athletes in strength and conditioning settings.
