LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Basketball Head Coach
Terry Primm has announced the addition of
Erica Covile as an assistant coach for the Saints ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Covile arrives in Loudonville after spending the past three seasons at Central Connecticut State, where she served as an assistant coach and played an integral role in player development, recruiting, scouting, and program operations. She helped develop three All-Conference selections, two All-Rookie Team honorees, and a Conference Player of the Year while contributing to the Blue Devils' return to postseason play.
"We are excited to welcome
Erica Covile to the family," said Primm. "Erica brings dynamic experience, enthusiasm, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with student-athletes on campus and on the recruiting trail. She is a relentless worker who aligns with the culture we are building. Our program is committed to providing our young women a championship experience on and off the court, and Erica's passion, energy, and character make her a great addition to our staff. We are thrilled to have her!"
At Central Connecticut State, Covile coached both guards and post players while leading individual skill development sessions, preparing scouting reports, assisting with game planning, coordinating travel and logistics, and strengthening the program's recruiting footprint across the Northeast, Southern United States, and Europe. She also played a key role in fostering a culture centered on accountability, competitiveness, and student-athlete development.
"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Siena Women's Basketball family and be a part of such a strong and value-driven program," said Covile. "I'm thankful for Coach Terry for believing in me. His leadership, passion, and commitment to excellence make this a special place, and I'm excited to contribute, develop our student-athletes, and help win championships."
Prior to her time at Central Connecticut State, the Detroit, MI native served as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at Yale during the 2022-23 season. In that role, she managed team and recruiting travel, coordinated practice logistics and team events, oversaw film exchange and scouting preparation, and worked closely with campus partners to enhance the student-athlete experience.
Covile also gained collegiate coaching experience as an assistant coach at Bryn Athyn College, where she worked on player development, recruiting, film analysis, and program promotion.
Before entering the coaching ranks, Covile enjoyed a five-year professional playing career overseas, competing in Romania, Spain, Belgium, Australia, and Finland. Throughout her playing career, she helped teams capture championships while developing the leadership, adaptability, and competitive mindset she now brings to coaching.
A standout student-athlete at Temple, Covile earned Third Team American Athletic Conference and Second Team Philadelphia Big 5 honors as a junior in 2014-15 while helping lead the Owls to consecutive 20-win seasons and back-to-back WNIT appearances, including a run to the 2015 WNIT Final Four. She concluded her collegiate career with 1,076 points and more than 800 rebounds, ranking among Temple's all-time leaders in both categories. During her senior season, Covile recorded nine double-doubles and delivered a memorable game-winning putback with one second remaining to lift the Owls to a 68-66 upset of nationally ranked USF, Temple's first victory over a ranked opponent since 2009.
Covile earned a bachelor's degree from Temple in Adult & Organizational Development in 2016.
