LOUDONVILLE, NY – Senior forward Lucas Almeida led the Siena men's soccer attack with five points on two goals and an assist across two matches last week, earning Metro Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, the fourth weekly award of his career.
 
Almeida opened the week with a goal and an assist in Siena's 3-0 home victory over LIU on Sept. 15. His goal served as the game-winner, while he added three shots, including two on goal.
 
The senior found the back of the net again in Siena's 2-1 road setback at Fairfield on Sept. 19, converting a penalty kick for the game-tying goal. Almeida finished the week with four shots, three on goal, and one game-winning goal.
 
The honor marks Almeida's fourth career weekly award, dating back to last season.
 
Almeida and the Saints return to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, for their final non-conference test of the season at UConn.
