LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Men's Soccer returns home Saturday afternoon when the Saints welcome Manhattan to Hickey Field for a 3 p.m. Metro Conference matchup.
 
Siena enters the contest at 2-5-1 overall and 0-1 in Metro play, while Manhattan comes to Loudonville at 2-4 overall for its conference opener. The Saints are 1-0-1 at home this season and have scored exactly three goals in each of their first two matches at Hickey Field. Siena will also look to extend its six-match winning streak in Metro home openers, a run that dates back to the 2020-21 season.
 
Junior Lucas Almeida continues to lead the way offensively for Siena after earning his fourth career weekly honor earlier this week as the Metro Offensive Player of the Week. Almeida ranks 11th nationally with six goals, 13th with an average of 0.75 goals per match, 15th with 14 points, and 18th with 1.75 points per contest.
 
The Saints have also continued to play with discipline, ranking sixth nationally while committing just 8.13 fouls per match.
 
Defensively, Siena will look to continue its recent progress. The Saints have surrendered an average of 1.33 goals per match in their wins and draws this season, compared to 2.80 goals per match in their five losses.
 
Manhattan enters Saturday's contest playing its first Metro match of the season. The Jaspers were selected eighth in the Metro Preseason Coaches' Poll and are 0-3 away from home this season.
 
Offensively, Manhattan is tied for fourth in the conference averaging 1.8 goals per match. Cristiano Marsilii and Ziv Dahan lead the Jaspers with three goals apiece, while Marsilii ranks tied for fifth in the Metro with eight points. Tycho van Haaren is tied for ninth with seven points.
 
Dahan has also been a consistent threat, ranking third in the conference with 1.67 shots on goal per match and fourth with 2.83 shots per contest.
 
Manhattan has allowed 2.17 goals per match, the second-highest average in the Metro. Gaspar Homar Bennasar has appeared in five matches in goal, recording 21 saves with a .677 save percentage and 2.00 goals-against average.
 
Tom Giovatto is in his second season as Manhattan's head coach.
 
Saturday marks the 36th all-time meeting between the Saints and Jaspers, with Siena holding a 21-7-7 advantage in the series. The Saints are 12-3-5 against Manhattan at home.
 
Siena has won each of the last three meetings, including a 3-2 victory in Riverdale on Sept. 20, 2025. Almeida scored once and assisted on the game-winning goal in that contest.
 
The Saints are unbeaten in their last six against the Jaspers, going 4-0-2 since 2019, including a 1-0-2 mark in three meetings at Hickey Field. Each of the last three meetings has been decided by one goal, all in Siena's favor.
