SARATOGA, N.Y.--Wagner jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first 14 minutes of the game en route to a 14-4 victory over Siena at Skidmore College Thursday afternoon.
Krissie Fischer led the Seahawks (5-0, 0-0 NEC) with four goals and two assists. Catherine Cabellero added three goals and Kelly McVeigh had two goals along with an assist.
After trailing 11-2 at the half, Siena (0-7, 0-1 MAAC) performed better after the break, allowing just three more goals. Sarah Estes (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) scored twice in the second half for the Saints. Gina Purpura (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) and Cynthia Gutierrez (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) also notched goals for Siena.
The Saints head back into conference play on Sunday. Siena will host LeMoyne on the Siena campus with faceoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
