LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Prior to Saturday's home opening football game with Sacred Heart slated for 1 p.m., Siena College will recognize area firefighters for their sacrifices and heroism.

"The Siena community, like the rest of the country, has been moved by the heroic acts the firefighters and rescue personnel have performed on and since the horrific acts of September 11," Director of Athletics John D'Argenio said. "Our hope is to bring exposure to the brave men and women in our area who commit to making the same sacrifice."

Members of various local fire departments will be represented in the opening ceremony that will directly precede kickoff. Family members of the firefighters will receive complimentary admission to the contest.
