LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - After being named MAAC Player of the Year for a second straight season, junior Gunta Basko was named one of the six District 2 Kodak All-Americans Friday. Basko is one of 48 players nationwide to be selected for women's college basketball's most prestigious on-court honor.

Basko (Olaine, Latvia/Riga Secondary #3) averaged 18.6 ppg and 10.6 rpg in becoming just the third player to be named a two-time MAAC Player of the Year. She has moved into the top-seven all-time at Siena in both scoring and rebounding.

Basko was one of six players chosen from District 2 to compete for national Kodak All-American honors. District 2 includes the MAAC, the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big South and the Colonial Athletic Association. The Siena junior will now go onto the ballot to compete for national honors.
