April 22, 2003

Siena women's lacrosse junior goalie Mary-Elizabeth Dupelle (Feeding Hills, N.Y./Agawam) was named Metro Athletic Conference Goaltender of the Week for the week ending April 20, after helping her team capture its first conference victory of the season with a win over Canisius.

Dupelle recorded eight saves in Siena's 12-4 victory over the Golden Griffins that gave them their third win of the season while ending a six-game losing streak. She also scooped up four ground balls in the team's first conference victory of 2003. In a 14-5 loss against Marist just two days later, Dupelle kept the Saints in the game, making 14 stops in the cage while picking up another four ground balls.
