Fairfield, Conn. - Siena women's soccer (9-7-2, 5-3-1) will face second-seeded Niagara University (11-6-1, 6-2-1) in the 2006 MAAC Championship game tomorrow starting at 1:30 p.m. at Lessing Field on the campus of Fairfield University. The Saints move into the championship game for just the second time in school history (1996). Siena has never won the MAAC Championship since joining the league in 1991. Prior to Siena's victory over Loyola on Friday night, the Saints last tournament win dated back to 1996 when Siena defeated top seed Saint Peter's 2-0. The winner of the 2006 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship will earn an automatic bid to the 2006 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.
