Final Stats
Kenny Hasbrouck and Tay Fisher combined for 40 points and Antoine Jordan fell one rebound and one assist shy of a triple double as Siena knocked off Loyola 85-69 in Albany Tuesday. Andre Collins led Loyola with 20 points.
Fisher and Hasbrouck each left the Saints' game Sunday with injuries, and both were questionable at game-time. Fisher connected on six of Siena's season high 15 3-pointers, scoring 19 points and Hasbrouck led the Saints in scoring for the third straight game with 21 points.
Siena clung to a 36-33 halftime lead after a disjointed first half. Loyola scored the first basket of the second half to trim Siena's lead to one, but could never take a second half lead.
The Saints used a 19-3 run to build a 17-point lead with 12:52 remaining. Hasbrouck scored the first eight points of the rally, and Loyola was forced to switch out of its zone defense, which had been effective in the first half.
Loyola got no closer than eight the rest of the way despite shooting 52% from the field in the second half.
Siena made 14-16 free throws after entering the game ranked 12th nationally in that category.
David Ryan bounced back from a sub par offensive game to score 18 points, including 4-5 3-pointers.
Jordan's line read: 14 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
Collins scored 11 of his 20 points in the final 11 minutes, when the game was well in hand.
Brad Ferrell added 14 points and had five rebounds for the Greyhounds.
Siena moved into a fourth place tie with Saint Peter's which lost at Fairfield. The Saints travel to Hofstra Saturday for a non-conference game with the Pride.
