Final Stats
Claremont, Calif. - The Siena water polo team (4-12) closed out play at the Claremont Invitational with a convincing 14-4 win over Caltech this evening.
Siena took a 9-3 lead into halftime and outscored Caltech 5-1 in the second half. The Saints got multi-goal efforts from five players and multi-point games from eight.
Senior Shanna Allen and Lynn Whitmire notched hat tricks in the victory. Whitmire also chipped in a pair of assists for five points on the game.
Sophomore Kaedy Graves made a season-high 15 saves and also added an assist.
Lauren Garrigan paced the team with four steals and also chipped in two assists.
The Saints got two goals of production from Lauren Biehle, Caitlin Smith and Lauren Earl. Siena also received two assists apiece from Anne Lafex, Garrigan, Earl and Whitmire.
Siena wrapped up play at the Claremont Invitational with a 2-2 record. The team will be next in action on Thursday as they open the home slate with games against Hartwick and Utica with games starting at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. respectively.
