LOUDONVILLE, NY — The Siena Water Polo program continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom, earning the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Team Academic Award while setting a program record with 18 student-athletes recognized on the ACWPC All-Academic Team for the 2025-26 academic year.
The Saints posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.53, comfortably surpassing the 3.0 threshold required to earn the Team Academic Award. Siena's 18 individual honorees marked the highest total in program history and the 21st time the Saints have been represented on the ACWPC All-Academic Team.
Leading the way were eight student-athletes who achieved Outstanding distinction, awarded to those who maintain a GPA between 3.71 and 4.00. That group included
Georgia Ellison,
Jalia Kacsh,
Catherine Williamson,
Rebecca Currie,
Ava Vesey,
Allyson Ricciardi,
Annika Hayduchok, and
Sienna Hoff.
Ellison, Kacsh, and Williamson each carried a perfect 4.0 GPA, while Currie posted a 3.99 GPA. Vesey recorded a 3.92 GPA, Ricciardi a 3.91 GPA, Hayduchok a 3.87 GPA, and Hoff a 3.84 GPA.
Nine additional Saints earned Superior distinction, recognizing student-athletes with GPAs between 3.41 and 3.70. Those honorees included

Keygan Monahan (3.66),
Jade Arnold (3.62),
Parker Thomas (3.60),
Samantha Varrie (3.60),
Audrey Lacey (3.56),
Julia Hough (3.53),
Olivia Smith (3.43), and
Stella Chopskie (3.41).
Rounding out Siena's honorees were
Sawyer Weakland (3.38) and
Lucia Fernandez Caballero (3.32), who received Excellent distinction for maintaining GPAs between 3.20 and 3.40.
The ACWPC Team Academic Award recognizes collegiate water polo programs that achieve a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher, while the All-Academic Team honors individual student-athletes for their outstanding performance in the classroom throughout the academic year while maintaining a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher.
