LOUDONVILLE, NY — Siena Water Polo junior
Catherine Williamson added another accolade to her decorated career, earning selection to the 2026 All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) First Team, as announced by the league Friday.
Already one of the most accomplished players in program history, Williamson continued her dominant run in 2026 after previously being named the 2024 MAAC Rookie of the Year, a 2024 All-MAAC Second Team selection, and a 2025 All-MAAC First Team honoree.
Williamson paced the conference offensively, leading the MAAC in goals per game (3.5) and tying for the league lead in points per game (4.3). Despite appearing in just 18 contests, she posted team highs with 63 goals and 78 points—both totals ranking second overall in the MAAC.
Her impact was even more pronounced in conference play, where she led all MAAC competitors with 39 goals, 45 points, and seven field blocks. She averaged an impressive 5.6 goals and 6.4 points per game in league action.
A force on both ends of the pool, Williamson also topped the MAAC with 15 field blocks while adding a team-best 25 steals, which ranked third in the conference. She consistently created opportunities offensively, drawing a team-high 33 exclusions.
Williamson recorded 12 multi-goal performances in 18 outings, highlighted by a career-best 13-goal effort against VMI on Mar. 28.
In addition to Williamson's individual honor, Siena was well represented in the classroom, with 12 student athletes earning MAAC All-Academic Team recognition.
