Final Stats
Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena water polo team (4-13) opened up their home schedule with a 17-4 loss to Hartwick in the first of two games on the night at the Siena Swim Center.
Siena grabbed an early lead behind a Lauren Garrigan goal in the first quarter of action. The Hawks scored 17 of the games final 20 goals to lock up the victory.
The Saints notched a pair of goals onto the scoreboard in the second quarter. Senior Shanna Allen and reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week Lynn Whitmire accounted for the scores. Whitmire was also whistled for three ejections and was majored in the loss.
Siena's final goal came in the fourth as Lauren Biehle's shot found the back of the net.
Hartwick's Bronwen Knox tallied a game-high seven goals, including four in the second quarter. Teresa Fleming added a pair of goals for the Hawks.
Siena wraps up the twin bill with a game against Utica tonight.
