LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -The Siena women's lacrosse team (1-5) defeated the Binghamton Bearcats at Frank Bailey Field in Schenectady, N.Y., this afternoon. The game was changed to a Saints home game due to poor field conditions in Binghamton.
Siena scored six unanswered goals and took that lead into halftime. The Saints outscored Binghamton 6-5 after the break.
Siena got a hat trick performance from Christina Pampalone, who also added an assist for a game-high four points to lead the Saints.
The Saints got two or more points of production from five different players.
Lindsey Rosecrans and Michelle Eide found the back of the net two times each. Eide also won 6-of-9 face-offs in the win.
Lauren Ritchie and Ryan Tierney both chipped in with a goal and an assist for Siena.
Rosecrans and Morgan Donovan were tied for the game-high with six ground balls apiece.
Siena held the edge in shots (38-28), ground balls (51-39) and saves (14-10). The Bearcats turned the ball over 29 times compared to Siena's 15.
Binghamton had two players tie with three points apiece in the loss. Heather Grose scored two goals and set up another while Anna Riordan posted two assists and scored a goal.
Siena is back in action on Saturday as they host Le Moyne at Siena Field with a 1 p.m. face-off.
