Final Stats
Loudonville, NY-- Slippery Rock University claimed the women's water polo title at the Siena Second Annual Invitational this afternoon. Marist College and St. Francis finished second and third, respectively. Host Siena, finished fourth.
On the final day of competition, the Saints played one game against St. Francis battling for third place. The Terriers, posted five goals in the first quarter, cruising to a 5-1 lead at intermission. Sophomore Caitlin Smith took eight shots to convert for two goals, freshman Lauren Garrigan added one goal and dished out two assists. Garrigan and Smith were named to the All Tournament Team
The Saints were without senior Shana Allen. In deep water, Kaedy Graves nabbed seven saves.
The Saints are back in action on April 8 as they welcome Marist and Wagner in league action. Swim-off is set for 10 am and 2:30 p.m.
