LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena women's lacrosse team fell to Vermont 19-8 this afternoon in Burlington. Junior attacker Ryan Tierney (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville) and senior co-captain Christina Pampalone (East Northport, N.Y./Commack) each notched a team-high three points in the losing effort. The loss marks the Saints third straight as they fall to 1-6 on the season.
The Catamounts recorded five unanswered goals in the first six minutes of the contest to take a comfortable advantage. Alexandra Kain (Williston Park, N.Y./Mineola), a freshman midfielder, posted the first goal of the second have making it a three goal contest (9-6). However, this would be the closest the Saints would get as Vermont outscored Siena 10-3 in the final half to run off with the victory.
