Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena women's water polo team claimed third place in the third annual Siena Invitational this afternoon in Loudonville. The Saints secured this spot after knocking off Saint Francis 14-3 in the consolation game. Iona took home the title as they defeated Mercyhurst 13-11 in the championship contest.

Sophomore utility Lauren Garrigan (Kailua, Hawaii/Kamehameha) posted the game winning goal with 7:40 remaining in the first quarter leading to victory over Saint Francis. Garrigan finished with three goals in the game, while Caitlin Smith (Miami Springs, Fla./Miami Springs) notched a game-high four goals.

Garrigan and Smith both earned All-Tournament team honors for their stellar performances in the pool this weekend. Garrigan posted seven goals over Siena's four contests and Smith registered a team-high 11.
