Final Stats

Sarah Mayer won 6-2 and 6-0 over Meg Meahl at top singles and freshman Jessica Asselin topped Hailee Lange 7-6(3) and 6-2 at #4 singles, but Siena dropped a 5-2 decision at Holy Cross in its 2007-2008 season opener Sunday afternoon.

The Crusaders won the other four singles matches and took two of three doubles competitions to claim the doubles point.

Mayer teamed with freshman Lauren Moy to post an 8-5 win at top doubles. The Saints return to action next weekend as they host the inaugural Siena Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
