Senior volleyball player Burgandy McCurty (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Schreiber) became the school's all-time leader in career kills in the Saints' 3-2 victory over Colgate Sunday. McCurty enters Saturday's home opener against Loyola with 1,492 career kills - 28 more than Kristin May's '97 now second place total.
McCurty is the two-time MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and reigning MAAC Tournament MVP. She also was named Siena College Female Athlete of the Year as a junior after helping the Saints to their fourth straight MAAC Championship and NCAA appearance. McCurty entered the season in third place on the all-time kills charts, but surpassed both Nadiege Honore and Kristin May this past weekend.
