Women's Tennis Finishes Weekend Sweep in Central Park

Jasleen Sandhu and Danielle Crill held the top two singles spots and for the second straight day the Saints earned a 5-2 victory, this time topping Holy Cross at Central Park in Schenectady. Siena won four of six singles matches and claimed two of three doubles contests.

Sandhu teamed with Nicole Ross for an important 9-7 win at top doubles and then held off Crusaders' ace Kristen Meahl 6-2 and 6-3. Crill also won both her singles and doubles matches. She paired with freshman Elora Benfer in an 8-6 win at third doubles and topped Carolyn Chandley 6-0 and 6-2 at second singles.

Nicole Ross and Brittany Filip held fifth and sixth singles for the Saints. Emily Marr and Kathryn Wilkie won at #3 and 34 singles to account for Holy Cross' two points.

Several Saints will travel to the Eastern Regionals at Army next weekend.
