Camille Norman, Katie Ness and Devan Ragg all recorded multiple goal performances, but it was not enough as the Siena Water Polo team suffered a 13-8 defeat to Brown this afternoon at the Marist Invite in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Siena falls to 8-14 with the defeat.
Siena's offense came out firing, scoring five first quarter goals and led by two. But Brown scored all three second quarter goals to take a 6-5 lead into intermission and never trailed again.
The Bears sealed it by outscoring the Saints 5-1 in the third quarter as Siena has now dropped both meetings this year to Brown.
Norman led the Saints with a hat trick and continues to lead the nation with 55 goals scored this season. Ness and Ragg each added two goals apiece, while Traci Robertson accounted for the Saints other tally.
Jennifer Kissel recorded eight saves between the pipes.
The Saints return home to Siena Swim Center to host nationally ranked Hartwick on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Saints defeated Hartwick in an exhibition match this evening, 12-8.
