SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Women's Tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to NJIT on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Central Park. Prior to the match, Siena recognized graduating seniors Lauren Garbade and Dinka Keric.
"Today was an emotional day saying goodbye to Dinka and Lauren," said head coach Andy Christodoulou. I was really proud of Elora Benfer who had another strong day at #6 singles."
Benfer earned the lone point for the Saints with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 shutout of the Highlanders' Katie DeRosa. Siena's other win on the day came in #3 doubles where the team of Brittany Filip and Jess Asselin defeated Fanny Aizier and DeRosa, 8-3.
Siena returns to action tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. for a conference match against Niagara in Loudonville.
