Siena dropped a pair of contests in weekend water polo action, following to Wagner 15-7 and host Marist 13-4. The Saints fall to 10-19 overall and 2-4 in the MAAC following the defeats.
In the opener, the Saints and Seahawks battled to a 4-4 tie through a high scoring first period, but Siena was outscored 4-1 in the second quarter and never got back in the game.
Camille Norman led the Saints with a hat trick in defeat, while Jackie Crosby added a pair of tallies. Jennifer Kissel made eight stops in goal.
In the nightcap, Siena and Marist once again played to a high scoring first period with the Red Foxes holding a 5-3 lead. But yet again, the Saints faltered and were shutout over the next two periods as Marist pulled away.
Norman and Devan Ragg each finished with a goal and an assist, while Kissel stopped seven shots and registered two steals.
The Saints get another crack at both Wagner and Marist Saturday for MAAC games in Brooklyn, N.Y. Siena battles the Seahawks at 11:30 a.m. and the Red Foxes at 4 p.m.
