Women's Tennis Rocks Rider 7-0

The Siena women's tennis team posted an emphatic 7-0 triumph at Rider Friday afternoon leveling its MAAC record at 3-3 with two conference matches remaining before the MAAC Tournament next weekend. The Saints swept the singles and double competitions, winning all six individual matches in straight sets.

Jasleen Sandhu set the pace with an impressive 6-1 and 6-0 win at top singles. Danielle Crill followed with a 6-0 and 6-1 win at second singles. Jessica Asselin, Nicole Ross, Brittany Filip and Elora Benfer all cruised to singles wins as well.

At top doubles, Sandhu and Ross teamed for an 8-0 shutout. Crill and Benfer equaled the feat at second double with an 8-0 win and Filip joined with Asselin to hold off Rider's #3 doubles team, 8-6.

The Saints continue south where they face Loyola in Baltimore tomorrow before returning up the Jersey Turnpike to complete their eventful weekend with another MAAC match against Saint Peter's in Jersey City Sunday.
