Final Stats

Marist beat Siena 5-2 in a MAAC women's tennis match Wednesday afternoon. The Saints Elora Benfer, Nicole Ross and Jennifer Messing posted the three victories for the Saints during the singles competition.

Head Coach Andy Christodoulou commented, "Marist was the better team today. We fell behind early in the doubles matches and it was an uphill battle all afternoon. The girls gave 110% and I cannot ask for more."

Benfer defeated Rotta Byron by rallying in the last two sets giving her the win. Ross dominated her second set against Kayla O'Donovan, 6-1 and then pulled a 10-7 victory in the third set to give her the win. Messing meanwhile defeated Joanna Macaluso in the extra singles match, 8-2.

The Saints hope to bounce back during their match against NJIT this Saturday, April 10. The match will be played at 3 p.m. at Central Park in Schenectady, N.Y. The Saints' will celebrate Senior Day prior to the match at 2:15 p.m.
