Women's Basketball Signs Ciara Stewart

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena women's basketball has signed point guard Ciara Stewart to a National Letter of Intent for the coming season. Siena has one remaining scholarship for next season.

Stewart (Pomfert, Md./North Point) averaged 11.4 points, 7.2 assists and 5.2 steals as a senior. She holds school records for career assists (510), single season assists (180 in 2009-10) and single game assists (12 vs. Westlake on February 25, 2010).

Stewart was a First Team All-Conference Maryland Independent selection as a junior and senior and played in an All-Star game hosted by the Mystics at the Verizon Center last summer. She averaged 10.1 points, 6.8 assists and 6.3 steals during her high school career and shot 74% from the free throw line.

Stewart joins Onyx Mintah, Allison Mullings, Kate Zarotney and Kanika Cummings in this recruiting class.
