Junior Justin Deitz placed sixth overall for the second straight weekend, pacing Siena Men's Golf to a ninth place finish at the Leo Keenan Invitational hosted by St. Bonaventure. Deitz fired back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish just seven strokes off the lead.
The host Bonnies leapfrogged Saint Francis (Pa.) in the final round to win by three strokes. The Saints shot rounds of 304 and 315 and were tops amongst all MAAC finishers, shooting 13 shots better than Rider and 15 strokes ahead of Niagara.
Deitz, who shot rounds of 69 and 73 last weekend at the Navy Invitational, continued his strong start to the fall with his identical rounds of +3. St. Bonaventure's Brian McKenna fired a 67 Monday to capture the individual crown.
David Gushee also had a solid weekend, placing tied for 19th overall with rounds of 76 and 75 respectively.
The Saints return to the links next weekend for their third of four fall invites when they compete at the Cornell Invitational.
