The Siena women's tennis team participated in the Marist Invitational this past weekend alongside Providence, Hartford, Saint Peter's and UAlbany. The Saints won five of the nine doubles matches they participated in over the weekend.
"All the team members competed hard and performed well," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "I am happy with the progress we have made so far this fall. Our match toughness, and our mental toughness have really come a long way. We have to get ready for Hartford now. Hartford is a good team, and they are coming to town Wednesday with Abby Liu who is a graduate student that finished the 2010 season ranked 61st in the nation in singles play by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while playing for the University of Texas.
