Final Stats

Four of the six singles matches went three sets, and Marist won three of those. That was the difference in the Red Foxes 6-1 victory over Siena in Poughkeepsie Thursday afternoon.

Reigning MAAC Player of the Week Nicole Ross picked up Siena's only point with a 6-3, 2-6 and 10-7 win at No. 5 singles.

The Red Foxes began the match by sweeping the doubles competition, but Siena was still very much alive deep into the contest.

"Even with the loss of the doubles point, we were in position to win the match," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "The opportunity was there, but we have to put it behind us and get ready for Saturday."

Saturday is Senior Day for the Saints. The team hosts Loyola at 10 a.m. at the Siena Courts. Seniors Jen Messing and Jessica Asselin will be honored in an 11:15 a.m. ceremony.
